Neural Machine Translation and Artificial Intelligence in the Language Service Industry

Whilst Machine Translation has existed since the 50s with little to no disruption to the language service industry, the new approach through neural networks and drastic improvements in output quality has revolutionised the way we work and paved the way for a data & AI-driven future in translation and localisation. This webinar presented by 2M Language Services’ Chief Technology Officer, Thomas Lespes-Muñoz, and Translation Manager, Beatrice Francesca Cortis, will cover how the rise of NMT and AI have disrupted the language industry in recent years. 2M will explain the mechanics behind neural network technologies with real-life examples and how it affects the work of translators. 2M’s presentation will close with the showcase of their latest technology: 2M On Demand, an app that combines AI-driven translation workflows with professional and NAATI-certified linguists.
