Letting the cat out of the bag: Ask the Agency Student Edition

September 15, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm AEST

Virtual Event Virtual Event

Getting started as a translator is a daunting prospect for many students and being able to work efficiently and professionally with agencies can be central to a translator’s success. In this webinar translations students have the opportunity to ask anything and everything to help them launch a successful career. How do I work for an LSP? What is expected of me and what can I expect from the agency? What does a PM do? What is my role in the workflow? How do I negotiate rates? What skills or experience should I have? Do I need NAATI certification to work with an LSP?

In-house linguist James Pembroke and senior project manager Paula Aparicio will answer your questions and get you prepared for the real world, so when you finish your degree, you can hit the ground running.

Please send your questions in advance to: academy@2m.com.au to have them included in the panel, but you will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the session.
